- I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay.
- I sleep all night and I work all day.
- He's a lumberjack, and he's okay.
- He sleeps all night and he works all day.
- I cut down trees. I eat my lunch.
- I go to the lavatory.
- On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
- And have buttered scones for tea.
- He cuts down trees. He eats his lunch.
- He goes to the lavatory.
- On Wednesdays he goes shoppin'
- And has buttered scones for tea.
- He's a lumberjack, and he's okay.
- He sleeps all night and he works all day.

My son used to sing the song all of the time. Just seeing the words brings it all back!

ReplyDeleteThis is possibly the most awesome I've seen yet. And I love the idea. I'm 45 now, teach band in a Texas school and earned my Eagle Scout badge when I wasn't much older than Rain. I remember this song very fondly from days of Boy Scout Summer Camps both as a camper and later when working on staff. You have made a wonderful impact on his life and memories that he will cherish forever. You, sir, are one awesome father and I wish more and more parents would emulate you with their own children.
ReplyDeleteLove the lumberjack song. And he wears women's clothing.
